Vinti was born from a harsh reality I witnessed firsthand. As a Palestinian Syrian refugee in Turkey, I saw the brutal exploitation of fellow refugees, including children, by fast fashion suppliers who prioritized low costs over human dignity and environmental responsibility. Workers endured inhumane 14-hour days in horrific conditions, often going unpaid when workshops abruptly closed.
This rampant abuse, coupled with the industry's devastating environmental impact – fast fashion contributes more to carbon emissions than all international flights and maritime shipping combined, and annually, over $400 billion worth of clothing is prematurely discarded – sparked Vinti's creation.
