About Vinti
Vinti was born from a harsh reality I witnessed firsthand. As a Palestinian Syrian refugee in Turkey, I saw the brutal exploitation of fellow refugees, including children, by fast fashion suppliers who prioritized low costs over human dignity and environmental responsibility. Workers endured inhumane 14-hour days in horrific conditions, often going unpaid when workshops abruptly closed.

This rampant abuse, coupled with the industry's devastating environmental impact – fast fashion contributes more to carbon emissions than all international flights and maritime shipping combined, and annually, over $400 billion worth of clothing is prematurely discarded – sparked Vinti's creation.
In a world teetering on the brink of environmental and moral bankruptcy, we continue to obsess over whether socks with sandals is a fashion faux pas or a bold statement. Perhaps this is the true genius of our species - the ability to fiddle while Rome burns, looking fabulous all the while.

I've created Vinti as a platform that makes swapping, borrowing, and buying pre-loved clothing as effortless as fast fashion purchases. But it's more than convenience – it's a stand against exploitation and waste. At the heart of Vinti is community.
I believe that the path to sustainable fashion is paved by people coming together. Inspired by my thrifter friends, Taara, Steph and Dana, I am building a space where fashion lovers can connect, share, and support each other in making ethical choices.
By keeping fashion in circulation longer, Vinti is reducing pollution and reliance on exploitative practices. In challenging economic times, it offers a way to refresh your style while saving money. My vision? A world where style doesn't cost human dignity or planetary health. I aim to set new industry standards, pushing all fashion makers towards truly ethical practices.

Join this community-driven revolution. With Vinti, you're not just changing your wardrobe – you're changing lives and protecting our planet.
Together, we can make sustainable fashion the new normal because looking good shouldn't come at the cost of our conscience or our future.
